This nice lil' peach of a repo showed up on Manheim not too long ago. It's not an S600, but rather a re-badged S500 4-matic. Can you guess the mileage?

Confirmed via Carfax (more service records in Carfax Report verifying it's not clerical error)

I could have told you that! Another guy in my shop just put the heads back on a car with 300k miles and the V6 version of the engine in the above S. Why were the heads off you ask? To clean the carbon out of the EGR ports. That's it. Not leaking or anything like that. Still had fairy fresh cross hatching on the cylinders. Car is in excellent condition. Runs perfectly. And that was by far the largest repair that car has ever had. That's pretty normal.

Well, at least the steering wheel is as good as new.

Anyone else wondering why it's in drive in one of those pictures? Anyway, that's insane mileage. 40,000 miles a year? Jeez.

It was a repo. The window is seemingly broken as well, so I'm assuming:

- They had to break into it
- The engine has seized

Are you sure it was a repo and not an abandoned car? I can't imagine anyone financing a car that old, with that many miles, less than 60 months ago.

Wanna know how I knew it was over 200k? It has the 200k mile badge in the grille. In fact, it's nearly eligible for 500k, but probably won't make it.

I can't say I'm not impressed. I had no idea these were so durable. I guess Tavarish was right and that we should all go out and buy used luxury cars.

I was eyeballing a 2007 S550 with 57,000 miles and I thought it was a bit high. Now knowing you could theoretically get another 300,000+ miles out of it makes it seem like such a good buy.

Maybe? I just thought drive because usually there are some settings that are limited to 2 or 1 gears.
